My name is MENJO JAPHET, a primary school teacher and the Coordinator of LICHA-Cameroon for Upper Noni. My passion for supporting vulnerable children is deeply rooted in my own life story. I grew up as a vulnerable child, and it was through the kindness and support of family members, churches, and community groups that I was able to pursue an education. Their financial, material, and moral support shaped my life and inspired me to believe that every child deserves a chance to succeed, regardless of their circumstances. As a teacher, I interact daily with children who struggle to attend school without basic learning materials or support. Seeing underprivileged children trying to learn under such difficult conditions has always touched my heart and strengthened my commitment to helping them. In my small way, I began supporting some pupils in
my school with essential items such as exercise books, pens, pencils, and other school supplies to encourage them to stay in school and believe in their future.
In 2016, I was introduced to Life Changing Humanitarian Association (LICHA), an organization whose vision and mission aligned perfectly with my passion for the underprivileged. Joining LICHA gave me the opportunity to work with like-minded individuals who share the same commitment to transforming lives. Together, we continue to provide hope, educational support, and opportunities to disadvantaged children in underserved and marginalized communities, believing that every child, no matter their background, has the potential to become a positive force in society.
I Volunteer as the Coordinator of LICHA, Upper Noni.
