Mirabel MANFU NGANFU Biography

I am Manfu Mirabel Nganfu, a Co-founder of LICHA-Cameroon, and Founder of Manfu Group, a profit-making organization that deals with importation and sales of seconded used vehicles, electronics, and other household appliances from the USA, UAE, Sweden, Norway, and Japan. I am also a teacher by profession. My early experiences into a forced marriage at the tender age of 18years after the death of my father so that my bridewealth could be used to educate my siblings gave me the worst experience that led me to become an advocate for women, marital counselor and life coach to young girls and persons from marginalizing and discriminated backgrounds. I came in contact with the vision bearer of LICHA-Cameroon in 2015 when it was still a common initiative group in a conference on women empowerment. After sharing our life experiences, we realized that we both had a passion for serving humanity especially those from marginalized backgrounds. Since then, we started collaborating in creating an impact on persons from marginalized communities by sharing our experiences and also providing access to education through career orientation and counseling, scholarship awards, skills acquisition programs, and pre-marital and marital counseling. As the founder of Manfu group, a profit-making organization, we use the proceeds from this organization to carry out the many humanitarian outreach activities to the less privileged, the orphans, the physically challenged, and the vulnerable with a focus on children, youths, and women.

I head the women’s department and focus on counseling young girls and women on the dangers of early marriages, and also encouraging them on the importance of education as a means of becoming entrepreneurs to help in building healthy homes and communities by contributing to household and family income.
