I joined LICHA as a volunteer in 2018, driven by a strong desire to contribute to meaningful social change and support communities in need. Over the years, my role has grown into serving as the organization’s Finance Officer, where I manage budgets, track expenditures, prepare financial reports, and support strategic financial planning. Every day, I strive to ensure that our resources are used efficiently and transparently, so that we can maximize our impact. What drew me to this organization was its vision of sustainable development and empowerment; it resonated deeply with my personal values and professional goals. I firmly believe, as Richard Branson once said, that “the most valuable asset of any organization is its people. Invest in them, empower them, and watch your business soar.” This reflects my own philosophy: real investment isn’t in material things, but in empowering others to create lasting change.

With my background in Accountancy (Master’s degree), finance is my primary focus though I also participate in other areas of the organization. I collaborate with program teams, support fundraising efforts, and contribute to operational planning. Being involved across departments allows me to see the bigger picture and help ensure that financial insights guide our decisions and growth. Looking ahead, my goal is to continue strengthening the financial health of the organization, promote transparency, and help the organization expand its programs to reach even more communities. I’m proud to be part of a team that is making a real difference, and I hope to keep contributing to that mission for many years to come.
