As a continuation of the BOOSTCAP Project, COSSA and LICHA empowered these two internally displaced women with poultry farming (table birds rearing) and by acquiring a piece of land and providing seed capital for the cultivation of organic huckleberry as a means of improving on their livelihood. Today , they can boost of producing great quantities which has gone a long way to improve their source livelihood.
LICHA joined Hope Social Union for the Visually impaired(HSUVI) by donating white canes and sensitizing the population of the Bamenda III Municipality( motor bike riders, taxi men and passer-by) on the different signs and uses of the white cane to persons with impairments, when and how to offer help to these persons.
Over 50 internally displaced children in the Banjah/Banshee Community in the North West Region of Cameroon benefited from Scholarship donated by MANFU Group-LICHA. The socio-political crisis that left these children helpless attracted MANFU Group-LICHA who came in to put smiles on the faces of these less privileged children.
COSSA international and LICHA Cameroon put smile on the face of a vulnerable internally displaced woman in Bamenda.
A vulnerable IDP lady in Bamenda, Cameroon, was on June 7th 2024 filled with ecstacy as COSSA International and LICHA Cameroon leave an indelible mark in her heart by donating 100 table birds, 8 bags of feed, medications and an extension of her rented farm land for huckleberry cultivation, all in the quest for her economic empowerment.
Christian Outreach for Spiritual and Social Assistance (COSSA International) is an organization that seeks to plant love and reap love by reaching out to those who are in dire need through spiritual and social assistance. Life changing humanitarian association, (LICHA Cameroon) is also an association with the mission to assist those from vulnerable backgrounds. So, COSSA INTERNATIONAL after monitoring the activities of LICHA Cameroon for about 2 years entered in to a Networking partnership in January 2024 so that as a team, they can easily reach out to those in need since they have the same goals. Speaking today June 7th 2024 in Nkwen Bamenda where COSSA INTERNATIONAL and LICHA Cameroon were handing over the table birds, the project director of LICHA mentioned that the partnership between the 2 organizations is a perfect marriage that has an undeniable connection and that the donation today will go a long way towards reducing poverty and improve on the living standards of this IDP and her children.
COSSA International in the same light expressed the same optimism about the networking partnership and how the living conditions of this IDP will certainly improve. The vulnerable lady while receiving the gift was extremely elated by what the organizations had done to her. She thanked the donors and prayed that the Lord God should replenish the source a hundred full and give the donors the strength of a thousand elephants to continue with such marvelous gestures. She also noted that the donation will help over 10 children under her care. It is important to note that the bloody armed conflict in anglophone Cameroon which is in its 8th year now has brought untold suffering to the population as hundreds of thousands have been displaced, villages burned down and over 12000 feared dead. In the face of this unrest, however, COSSA INTERNATIONAL AND LICHA CAMEROON are more than determined to impact the lives of the vulnerable through skills acquisition, and socio-economic empowerment, and to also give them reasons to hope again. By this, the two(2) organizations will reduce poverty and inequalities thereby creating a just, equitable, peaceful, and inclusive society for all.
