ICHA Cameroon reignites hope in Chia Ophilia Mury, a female fatherless IDP in Bamenda.
Since the outbreak of the socio-political dispensation in Cameroon’s two English speaking region, the vulnerability of children have been on the rise. 12-year-old Ophilia’s situation is not different as she lost her father to this crises and was forced to stay out of school as she fled to Bamenda town where the hostilities are less severe. For over 5 years now, the mother of this teenager can barely feed her home as she has been left alone to cater for five children.
LICHA Cameroon, through one of her bonnafide members( The CEO of Lab Force medical services) has pledged to sponsor this sensational teenager to pursue education for a period of 5 years at Government Technica High school Nkwen,Bamenda in entrepreneurship and Business studies.
However, Ophilia is still desperate as she lacks adequate nutrition and access to health care that can enable her to study effectively; most especially as her mother struggles with 5 of them in a single room here in Bamenda, Cameroon.
